Job Description

The Oncology team is looking for a Commercial Director who will lead the commercial organization of Marketing and the customer-facing SME organization (HSP) for our growing Hematology Portfolio – Elrexfio and Besponsa. Elrexfio is expected to hit ~$100m in annual sales in 2025 and will be one of Pfizer Japan’s Top Priority Brands in OP26. Besponsa is indicated for Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) which is a cancer with a high unmet need. Besponsa is a smaller product of great reputational importance given the high unmet need it serves. Besponsa received approval for pediatric ALL in March 2024. This leadership role will be responsible for delivering ~$120m revenue target in 2026OP. The Director will manage an organization of ~15-17 people including ~6 Marketers and 1 HSP Customer Facing Team of 8-10, requiring seasoned leadership experience and people management skills. Specifically to lead customer facing team, the Director will set effective KPIs to assess HSP’s performance and guide the execution in the field.

Job Responsibility

  • Strategic Planning and Execution: Lead all aspects of strategic brand planning and commercial management, delivering strategies and executing tactics to achieve financial budget (revenue and IBT in Operating Plan) for the portfolio
  • Strategic Prioritization : Make trade-off decisions to prioritize focus areas and spend investment to maximize brand and launch performance
  • Organizational Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of marketing talents and customer-facing colleagues, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence
  • Executional leadership of Customer Facing Team: Mobilize customer facing team (HSP) with clear KPI and execution guidance (e.g. allocation, segmentation & targeting) to ensure impactful execution in the field
  • Omni-channel strategy : Lead the development and execution of Brand Plans, including developing robust omnichannel strategies and content to meet customer needs, optimize patient outcomes and maximise brand opportunities and values
  • Shaping external market landscape : Proactively shape the market for new launches and navigate the external uncertainty
  • Cross functional leadership: Partner and collaborate with relevant Global & ICO teams and locally with sales, P&HE, ISE and cross functional to deliver the outcomes
  • Financial accountability: Partner with Finance to develop business forecasts and regularly track performance against budget targets
  • Integrity: Partner with medical affairs, regulatory, legal and compliance to ensure strict adherence to promotional guidelines and 100% compliance with all law, regulation, SOP, internal or external rule/policies
