We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Helpline Counselor to provide support and guidance to individuals in need through phone-based services. This role is ideal for someone who is empathetic, calm under pressure, and comfortable working flexible schedules.
Job Responsibility:
Answer incoming helpline calls and provide emotional support and resources
Assess caller needs and respond using active listening and crisis intervention techniques
Document calls accurately and maintain confidential records
Follow established protocols and escalation procedures
Collaborate with internal teams and supervisors as needed
Maintain professionalism and composure in high-stress situations
Requirements:
1+ year of experience in counseling, social services, or a related support role
Strong active listening, communication, and interpersonal skills
Ability to remain calm and empathetic in high-pressure situations
Availability to work multiple shifts, including days, evenings, nights, weekends, or holidays
Proficiency with basic computer systems and documentation tools
High level of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality
