Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Helpline Counselor to provide support and guidance to individuals in need through phone-based services. This role is ideal for someone who is empathetic, calm under pressure, and comfortable working flexible schedules.

Job Responsibility

  • Answer incoming helpline calls and provide emotional support and resources
  • Assess caller needs and respond using active listening and crisis intervention techniques
  • Document calls accurately and maintain confidential records
  • Follow established protocols and escalation procedures
  • Collaborate with internal teams and supervisors as needed
  • Maintain professionalism and composure in high-stress situations

Requirements

  • 1+ year of experience in counseling, social services, or a related support role
  • Strong active listening, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to remain calm and empathetic in high-pressure situations
  • Availability to work multiple shifts, including days, evenings, nights, weekends, or holidays
  • Proficiency with basic computer systems and documentation tools
  • High level of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality
