Job Description:

Join our dynamic team as a Helper, where you'll play a crucial role in supporting craft workers on exciting new construction or maintenance projects. Dive into a variety of tasks and duties while working alongside experienced professionals, gaining valuable hands-on experience in the field. Safety is paramount in this role, as your contributions directly impact the well-being of our team members and the public.

Job Responsibility:

  • Assist in the setup of equipment either by hand or machine
  • Load, transport, unload and furnish experienced craft workers with materials, tools, equipment, and supplies
  • Clean work area and restock supplies and materials as needed
  • Assist in lifting, positioning, and securing journeyman’s tools and equipment
  • Abide by the company Safety and QA/QC programs as well as OSHA rules and regulations

Requirements:

  • High School education or equivalent is required
  • Previous on the job training on a construction site required
  • Hand tools related to the specific tasks or craft is required
  • Must be able to lift more than 50 pounds frequently
  • Must be able to climb up and down ladders, stairs, scaffolds, and other objects while carrying tools/equipment
  • Must have ability to stand or walk for long periods
  • Must use arms and hands to reach for, handle, and manipulate objects
  • Must have ability to repeat tasks of short duration according to a set procedure
  • Must be able to tolerate temperature fluctuations, loud noises, a dusty work environment, and be around high voltage electromagnetic fields
  • The ability to work overtime and regular, punctual attendance is required
  • Candidates must show the capacity to proactively initiate, effectively lead, and consistently uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards
