Robert Half Technology is looking for a Help Desk Technician to support a client based in Lynnwood, Washington. This is a 100% onsite position, Monday to Friday (8AM-5PM). Duration: Contract; with potential to extend.
Job Responsibility:
Provide first-level technical support to end users via phone, email, in person, or a ticketing system
Troubleshoot and resolve basic hardware, software, and connectivity issues
Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and peripherals
Assist with user account creation, access permissions, and system onboarding/offboarding
Perform routine system checks, updates, and preventative maintenance
Escalate complex or unresolved issues to senior IT staff when appropriate
Document issues, solutions, and procedures in ticketing systems and knowledge bases
Support basic network troubleshooting and device setup
Follow company IT policies, security standards, and best practices
Requirements:
Basic knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems (Windows, macOS, and/or Linux), and common business software
Understanding of basic networking concepts (Wi-Fi, IP addressing, LAN/WAN)
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
Good communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts clearly
Customer-service mindset with a proactive and reliable approach
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
Experience with help desk or ticketing systems
Exposure to Active Directory, Microsoft 365, or similar environments
Nice to have:
Basic understanding of cybersecurity best practices
Experience supporting remote or hybrid users
Entry-level IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, or similar)
