We are seeking a Help Desk Professional for our client in Oak Brook, IL, on a contract opportunity. If you thrive in a fast-paced setting, love diving into technical challenges, and are passionate about ensuring end-users have an exceptional IT experience, this role is for you.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide Tier 1 technical support to end-users in a Windows-based environment
  • Efficiently resolve technical issues related to hardware, software, network, and system access
  • Administer Active Directory tasks such as password resets, account creations, and permissions adjustments
  • Assist users with Office 365 applications, including troubleshooting, user setup, and functionality support
  • Effectively utilize a ticketing system to document and track issues, ensuring timely resolution
  • Deliver a high level of customer service by addressing user inquiries with professionalism and clarity
  • Escalate unresolved issues to higher-tier support when necessary, ensuring minimal disruption to operations
  • Monitor and maintain system performance by identifying recurring issues and recommending improvements

Requirements:

  • 1-3 years of experience in Help Desk or Technical Support roles in a Windows environment
  • Hands-on experience with Active Directory administration
  • Proficiency in Office 365 Applications such as Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, and Excel
  • Familiarity with a ticketing system such as ServiceNow, Jira, or equivalent, is preferred
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills, with a focus on resolving technical issues efficiently
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with end-users and document issues effectively
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment
  • A proactive and customer-centric mindset
