Job Description:

This long-term contract position involves providing technical assistance for hardware, software, and network-related issues, ensuring the smooth operation of IT systems. The ideal candidate will excel at troubleshooting, configuring devices, and assisting users with technical challenges.

Job Responsibility:

  • Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network connectivity issues for end-users across multiple locations
  • Install, configure, and maintain desktop and laptop computers, printers, and other peripheral devices
  • Manage user accounts by creating, modifying, and deleting access as needed
  • Provide remote and in-person technical support to address system and application problems
  • Ensure devices are protected with up-to-date antivirus and malware software, and remove threats when detected
  • Implement software updates and upgrades to minimize disruptions to users
  • Assist in setting up technical equipment for meetings, webinars, and other events
  • Configure and deploy operating systems to ensure standardization and functionality across devices
  • Support network cabling tasks, including installation and maintenance of CAT5/CAT6 cables and patch panels
  • Address help desk tickets efficiently, ensuring timely resolution of user inquiries and issues

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues
  • Experience with Microsoft Windows operating systems, including Windows 10
  • Knowledge of Active Directory for user account management
  • Ability to work with network printers, multifunction printers, and other printing devices
  • Familiarity with basic network troubleshooting and cabling concepts, including CAT5/CAT6
  • Strong understanding of application software support and upgrades
  • Effective communication skills for assisting users and collaborating with team members
