We are looking for a Help Desk/Desktop Support Analyst to join our team in Visalia, California in a contract role with the potential to become permanent. This opportunity is well suited for an early-career IT specialist who wants to expand technical support and networking skills while working alongside an experienced senior team member. The person in this position will provide hands-on user support, help maintain core IT systems, and contribute to a reliable day-to-day technology environment.
Job Responsibility
Deliver front-line technical assistance for desktop, laptop, hardware, software, and basic network-related issues across the organization
Troubleshoot user access problems, reset permissions, and support account administration within Active Directory
Install, configure, and maintain workstations, peripherals, and standard business applications for new and existing employees
Document incidents, resolutions, and recurring technical concerns to improve support efficiency and knowledge sharing
Escalate more complex problems when needed and work closely with senior IT staff to build technical expertise through cross-training
Assist with routine system maintenance, device setup, and operational support tasks that keep the IT environment functioning smoothly
Support onboarding and offboarding activities by preparing equipment, setting up user accounts, and confirming access requirements
Participate in network and desktop support activities that strengthen overall service reliability and end-user satisfaction
Requirements
3+ years of hands-on experience in help desk, desktop support, or an entry-level IT support environment
Working knowledge of Active Directory, including user account support and access-related administration
Ability to diagnose and resolve common hardware, software, and connectivity issues in a timely manner
Familiarity with desktop operating systems, standard office applications, and endpoint device setup
Strong communication skills with the ability to assist users clearly and professionally
Willingness to learn from experienced technical staff and grow within an entry-level IT or network support role
Ability to manage multiple support requests while staying organized and responsive
