Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Senior Deskop/Server Administrator to join our team in New Haven County, Connecticut. In this role, you will provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to ensure smooth operations and resolve user issues effectively. This position requires a proactive and detail-oriented individual with a strong background in IT systems and customer service.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide technical support to users, addressing issues with hardware, software, and network connectivity
  • Manage and maintain Active Directory, including user account setups and permission changes
  • Troubleshoot and resolve problems related to Microsoft Windows 11 and other operating systems
  • Respond promptly to service desk tickets, ensuring timely resolution and accurate documentation
  • Assist in configuring and deploying new hardware and software systems
  • Conduct Windows server maintenance, administration, and troubleshooting
  • Monitor system performance and identify areas for improvement
  • Collaborate with other IT team members to implement solutions and improve processes
  • Educate users on best practices and preventative measures for common IT issues
  • Maintain detailed records of technical incidents and resolutions
  • Uphold company standards for customer service and technical support quality

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in a technical support or server administrator role
  • Proficiency in managing Active Directory, including user account administration
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows 10 and troubleshooting techniques
  • Familiarity with service desk ticketing systems and workflows
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues effectively
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with diverse users
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities
  • Capacity to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
