Job Description

This is a permanent position based at our Orange Site Maintenance Facility in regional Central West NSW. As a heavy vehicle mechanic at Ron Finemore transport you will become part of our professional Fleet and maintenance team responsible for the upkeep of the company’s modern heavy vehicle fleet. This includes a wide variety of European trucks and multiple applications of heavy trailer equipment.

Job Responsibility

  • Repairs, service and inspections on engines, transmissions, brakes, diffs electrical and pneumatic systems on truck and trailer equipment
  • Diagnostic analysis using supplied diagnostic software and computer equipment
  • Produce clear and concise digital repair order reports detailing all work carried out and recommendations in a prioritised order
  • Provide support and guidance to Apprentice technicians

Requirements

  • Heavy vehicle/Trailer certificate 3 mechanical trade certificate/qualification or equivalent
  • Experience in the Heavy Vehicle industry
  • Experience with American or European drivelines and advantage
  • Experience servicing and maintaining heavy trailer equipment
  • Ability to work unsupervised and as part of a customer focused team
  • Current HC/HR driver’s license an advantage
  • Pride in your work with an ability to work to targets and high standards
  • High levels of motivation, reliable with a can-do, positive attitude
  • Effective communication skills with a commitment to workplace safety
  • Own tools
  • Available for a Rotating hours (Shift)

Previous employment experience within an automotive fleet or an associated supply chain network will be highly regarded.
