Job Description:

Are you a skilled HV Mechanic or Diesel Fitter, looking for a stable role where you work on a variety of Equipment? Are you looking to gain experience in the Rail industry? Our client has a rare opening for someone to join their small team. They modify vehicles, like Land cruisers, Tractors, cranes and more to be used in rail maintenance and other applications. This is a Full time, permanent role that offers work-life balance, a stable, close knit team, and lots of diversity and training. We offer a mix of Workshop and Service work, so no two days are the same.

Job Responsibility:

Maintenance & Repair: Working on Land Cruisers, EWP, Isuzu trucks
Conduct routine maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on heavy vehicles, earthmoving machinery, and rail equipment
Field Service: Provide on-site maintenance and repair services, including responding to emergency breakdowns and unscheduled repairs
Service Reports: Prepare detailed service and maintenance reports, documenting all work performed, parts used, and future maintenance recommendations
Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while performing duties, ensuring a safe working environment
Collaboration: Work closely with other team members, providing support and expertise to ensure the efficient operation of the equipment fleet

Requirements:

Relevant trade qualification (Mechanical trade like HV Mechanic, Diesel Fitter)
Beneficial certificates - RIW card, Cat 3 Medical
Strong knowledge of hydraulic systems, diesel engines, electrical systems, and mechanical components
Ability to diagnose complex mechanical issues and implement effective solutions
Strong verbal and written communication skills, particularly in preparing detailed service reports
Willingness to work flexible hours
Should be willing to travel around NSW and interstate with allowances where needed
