Job Description:

We’re looking for experienced Heavy Vehicle Mechanics and Fitters to join our Heavy Haulage Maintenance Team at a brand-new site start-up kicking off January in the new year. You’ll be maintaining a premium fleet of new Kenworth C509s with triple side-tipper configurations and auxiliary equipment, keeping our operation running safely and efficiently. Work within a small, close-knit crew backed by state-of-the-art facilities, including purpose-built undercover workshops designed to reduce dust, a dedicated wash pad, an on-site refuelling station and new offices and crib rooms all within close reach. We’re offering permanent full-time positions on a 2/1 roster (day and night shift rotation), with flights available from both Perth and Busselton.

Job Responsibility:

  • Service, maintain and repair Kenworth C509s, side-tippers and auxiliary equipment
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic faults
  • Carry out preventative maintenance to minimise downtime
  • Support breakdown response and field repairs when required
  • Maintain accurate service and inspection records
  • Work safely and effectively as part of a high-performing maintenance team

Requirements:

  • Australian or New Zealand recognised trade qualification
  • Experience with Kenworth’s, Cummins engines and heavy-duty trailer combinations
  • Unrestricted Australian Drivers Licence
  • A strong commitment to safety and quality of work
  • Demonstrated diagnostic, fault finding, troubleshooting and preventative maintenance skills
  • The ability to perform physically demanding tasks
