Job Responsibility

  • Automation, electric, and mechanic tasks
  • Ensuring the proper functioning, preventive maintenance, and major repairs of the fleet of de-icing and service trucks in Ville Saint-Laurent
  • Performing precise diagnostics and troubleshooting on highly specialized vehicles equipped with aerial work platforms, hydraulic, electrical, electronic, and onboard computer systems
  • Meticulously inspecting automation, and electrical components to ensure that all vehicles are clean, safe, and in perfect working order
  • Collaborating actively with the lead mechanic by promptly reporting any mechanical or operational anomaly detected on the fleet
  • Filling out maintenance reports and completing the required documentation to ensure rigorous technical follow-up in compliance with industry standards

Requirements

  • Diploma or successfully completed course in general mechanics, heavy road vehicle mechanics, or construction equipment mechanics
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in the heavy mechanics field or equivalent experience
  • Strong technical skills and hands-on experience with automation, electricity industrial, and hydraulic systems
  • Excellent communication skills in French and a sufficient mastery of English to fluently read technical manuals and interact effectively with English-speaking colleagues from other provinces
