Job Description:

This isn't a desk job. You'll be out in the yard and on the road, working hands-on with drivers to build their capability, confidence, and commitment to safety. You'll play a key role in strengthening our driver team and keeping RFT at the forefront of the industry.

Job Responsibility:

  • Train, review, and coach drivers in the yard and on the road
  • Conduct driver recruitment assessments and interviews
  • Support inductions and on-road observations
  • Carry out drug and alcohol testing, coupling checks, and site inspections
  • Complete driver reviews at 1 and 3 months
  • Travel between Central West NSW stores and DC's in the Sydney basin also supporting the team throughout Peak periods in the Sydney Basin
  • Report on training and driver activities using mobile technology (minimal office time)

Requirements:

  • HC/MC licence with at least 5 years' heavy vehicle driving experience
  • Strong knowledge of WHS and COR requirements
  • Experience with supermarket DC loading, deliveries, including rear unloading and side loading
  • Hands-on coaching skills
  • Confident communicator who can give feedback clearly and record training using mobile/tablet systems (EWD)
  • Calm, approachable, and down-to-earth
  • Certificate IV in Training & Assessment is desirable but not required upfront
