Join Ron Finemore Transport (RFT) as a Driver Trainer based at our Wodonga head office – the central hub of our operations and a great place to build your career. This isn’t a desk job. You’ll be out in the yard and on the road, working hands-on with drivers to build their capability, confidence, and commitment to safety. You’ll play a key role in strengthening our driver team and keeping RFT at the forefront of the industry.

Job Responsibility

  • Train, review, and coach drivers in the yard and on the road
  • Conduct driver recruitment assessments and interviews
  • Support inductions and on-road observations
  • Carry out drug and alcohol testing, coupling checks, and site inspections
  • Complete driver reviews at 1 and 3 months
  • Travel occasionally to support other depots (Melbourne, Wagga, Sydney)
  • Report on training and driver activities using mobile technology

Requirements

  • MC licence with at least 5 years’ heavy vehicle driving experience
  • Strong knowledge of WHS and COR requirements
  • Experience with supermarket DC deliveries, including rear and finger docks
  • Hands-on coaching skills
  • Confident communicator who can give feedback clearly and record training using mobile/tablet systems
  • Calm, approachable, and down-to-earth

Nice to have

Certificate IV in Training & Assessment is desirable but not required upfront
