Job Description:

Due to continued growth the Aurizon’s Mt Isa team are seeking a Heavy Transport Operator to join their team on a full-time permanent basis. Operating Heavy Vehicles with Tipping skel trailers in the Mount Isa area. Safe Operation of heavy forklifts and reach stackers - loading and unloading containerised product. Previous experience not essential. Ongoing training and development available.

Job Responsibility:

  • Operating Heavy Vehicles with Tipping skel trailers in the Mount Isa area
  • Safe Operation of heavy forklifts and reach stackers - loading and unloading containerised product
  • Undertake all tasks in a safe and compliant manner
  • Operate all vehicles and equipment in line with company policy and procedures
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, fatigue, heavy vehicle operating guide lines, loading requirements, axle weights and adhering to vehicle specific permits
  • Provide exceptional customer service and maintain a high degree of professionalism
  • Reporting of risks and hazards in the working environment

Requirements:

  • Safe Driving Record along with your HC licence with min 3-year experience
  • Heavy forklift, Reach stacker and Loader tickets (highly regarded)
  • Good verbal and written communication skills with the ability to complete paperwork such as pre-starts on vehicles, defect reports and other various reporting
  • Mechanical aptitude and the ability to work autonomously
  • Have a strong work ethic, be reliable and punctual
  • Pass pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol test
  • Supply full driving history
  • Sound knowledge of fatigue management and work diary requirements
