Job Description:

Join the Aurizon Bulk Terminal team in Forrestfield (WA) as a key part of our Terminal Operations! Reporting to the Terminal Operations Leader, this permanent position offers a 7 on 7 off residential roster, working both a week of days and a week of nights (12hr shifts). This opportunity is open to entry-level, locally based applicants with a minimum C Class driver's licence, a strong safety mindset, and a desire to learn and grow into a multi-ticketed operator. Job Responsibility:

  • Operate Medium/Heavy rigid vehicles
  • Complete production work including operating machines, cleaning equipment and tools, and assisting terminal operational staff
  • Handle bulk dangerous goods safely
  • Perform plant and equipment inspections & pre-starts
  • Provide provisioning, service, cleaning, and lower-level maintenance on plant and equipment
  • Contribute to general housekeeping and safety practices
  • Utilise all available competencies and licences, be willing to obtain any necessary licences and/or competencies for ongoing operations
  • Provide a high level of customer service to both internal and external stakeholders

Requirements:

  • Proven mechanical aptitude and a strong commitment to safety
  • Current unrestricted driver's licence
  • High-risk heavy forklift ticket (or willingness to obtain)
  • EWP ticket (or willingness to obtain)
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and as part of a team
  • Experience working in a heavy industry and around heavy machinery
