Job Description:

Heavy Equipment Operator II – 2026-037. Foran Mining Corporation (TSX:FOM) is a forward-thinking mining company redefining the industry. We are seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator II to join our growing McIlvenna Bay team. This is a full-time position based at the McIlvenna Bay site working a 14/14 rotation. This position is open to candidates who reside within 150 km of the McIlvenna Bay site or who can travel using our company shuttle from Saskatoon or Prince Albert. No additional travel subsidy is provided. As part of the Site Services Team, the Heavy Equipment Operator II is responsible for safely operating a variety of heavy machinery to support mining and surface operations. Heavy Equipment Operator II supports daily production, basic road maintenance, materials handling, and general site activities. Operators at this level are expected to be proficient with core equipment and contribute to safe, efficient operations under moderate supervision.

Job Responsibility:

  • Operate heavy equipment such as front-end loaders, forklifts, graders, compactors, and dozer in a safe and efficient manner
  • Safely transport personnel or materials using company buses when required
  • Perform basic pre-operational checks and cleaning of assigned equipment
  • Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance
  • Report equipment issues or safety concerns promptly to the supervisor or maintenance team
  • Maintain records related to equipment use or inspections as directed
  • Follow all safety protocols and company procedures to maintain a safe work environment
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and other team members to coordinate daily tasks
  • Assist with site cleanup or other assigned duties in support of surface operations

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience operating heavy equipment in mining or similar heavy industry
  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s License
  • Proficient in operating core equipment such as loaders, forklifts, graders, compactors, and dozer
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills to coordinate with supervisors and team members
  • Ability to follow safety protocols and complete equipment inspections and basic maintenance tasks
  • Possess basic knowledge in operating heavy equipment, including loaders, forklifts and dozer
  • Possess excellent verbal/written communication skills to work with a variety of departments and site personnel
