Job Description:

Matsqui Ag-Repair, located in Abbotsford, BC, is looking to add a heavy-duty technician to our growing service department. We are the authorized dealer for JCB Agriculture, SILOKING, McCormick, and TYM Tractors, as well as the authorized Western Canada distributor for McHale. This is an opportunity for an ambitious individual to join an established dealership with plenty of growth opportunities.

Job Responsibility:

  • Inspect heavy agricultural equipment for proper performance and inspect it to detect any faults or malfunctions
  • Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine the extent of repair required
  • Adjust Heavy agricultural equipment and repair or replace defective parts, components, or systems using hand and power tools
  • Test repaired equipment to ensure proper performance and that the work meets the manufacturer's specifications
  • Clean, lubricate, and perform routine maintenance and repair work on heavy agricultural equipment
  • May attach components and adjust new heavy agricultural equipment
  • May perform road service call trips to inspect and repair heavy agricultural equipment on customer worksites

Requirements:

  • Heavy Duty Red Seal Journeyman Ticket
  • 2-5 Years experience
  • Knowledge of farm equipment
  • Skilled in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and A/C systems
  • Ability to document machine information and tasks performed with accuracy
  • Ability to lift 75lbs occasionally
  • Ability to think outside the box and come up with effective solutions
  • Familiarity or experience with our brands JCB, McHale, or TYM
