Ensure optimal operation and reliability of job site equipment through rigorous daily inspection rounds
Perform routine maintenance, including cleaning, lubrication, and comprehensive preventive maintenance (PMs) on machinery
Accurately diagnose mechanical faults across a large fleet of both heavy and light equipment
Execute required repairs while respecting allocated budgets and the highest safety standards
Manage parts inventory and document all interventions in clear technical reports for equipment tracking
Collaborate with shop supervisors to identify operational risks and maintain an orderly workspace
Requirements
Must hold a DEP (Diploma of Vocational Studies) in mechanics, as well as valid CCQ cards (Commission de la construction du Québec) and an ASP Construction card (Health and Safety)
3 to 5 years of relevant experience in the maintenance of heavy mobile mechanical equipment
Proven ability to work independently while maintaining an excellent team spirit
Demonstrated meticulousness, rigor, and a constant commitment to high-quality workmanship
Ability to effectively multitask and manage multiple priorities while meeting tight deadlines
Highly proactive approach to detecting and troubleshooting complex mechanical issues directly in the field
