Job Responsibility

Perform regular inspections and preventative maintenance on heavy-duty mobile equipment

Use ET, Cummins Insight, and technical manuals to identify issues and develop repair solutions
Replace worn or damaged parts to prevent failures and extend equipment life
Apply welding and fabrication skills to repair or modify equipment components as needed
Complete work orders, crossover reports, and maintenance records accurately
Provide detailed reports on equipment condition and recommended actions
Communicate with vendors to obtain parts quotes and lead times, and relay information to your supervisor

Strong knowledge of mobile equipment and its operational functions
Solid foundation in general mechanics, electricity, as well as hydraulic and pneumatic principles
Ability to utilize diagnostic and scanning tools
Ability to crimp hydraulic hoses according to manufacturer specifications
Proficiency with welding equipment and torches
Basic computer literacy

Job Responsibility

Adjust, repair, and/or replace defective parts and components
Perform preventive maintenance (PMs) on mobile equipment
Diagnose faults and failures to accurately determine the scope of required repairs
Complete detailed repair reports, identifying the root causes of the breakdowns or problems encountered
Test repaired equipment to ensure it functions properly and that all repairs meet performance and safety standards
Read blueprints, diagrams, and schematics to plan and execute the correct repair procedures
