Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Red Seal Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of Heavy Duty Trucks. This is a hands-on role requiring strong technical knowledge, efficiency, and a commitment to safety and quality workmanship.

Job Responsibility:

Perform routine maintenance and inspections on a wide range of heavy-duty trucks
Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and engine systems
Complete work orders accurately and efficiently
Conduct safety and CVIP inspections (if certified)
Collaborate with other technicians and shop managers to ensure customer satisfaction
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace
Stay current with manufacturer updates and best practices

Requirements:

Red Seal Heavy Duty Technician Certification – Required
Commercial Vehicle Inspector (CVIP) Certification – Asset
Minimum 3 years experience working on heavy-duty trucks and equipment
Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
Familiarity with diagnostic tools and software (e.g., Cummins Insite)
Valid Class 5 Driver’s License (Class 1 or 3 an asset)
Ability to work independently or as part of a team
Must be reliable, punctual, and safety-focused

Nice to have:

Commercial Vehicle Inspector (CVIP) Certification
Valid Class 1 or 3 Driver’s License
