Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Red Seal Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of Heavy Duty Trucks. This is a hands-on role requiring strong technical knowledge, efficiency, and a commitment to safety and quality workmanship.

Job Responsibility:

  • Perform routine maintenance and inspections on a wide range of heavy-duty trucks
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and engine systems
  • Complete work orders accurately and efficiently
  • Conduct safety and CVIP inspections (if certified)
  • Collaborate with other technicians and shop managers to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace
  • Stay current with manufacturer updates and best practices

Requirements:

  • Red Seal Heavy Duty Technician Certification – Required
  • Commercial Vehicle Inspector (CVIP) Certification – Asset
  • Minimum 3 years experience working on heavy-duty trucks and equipment
  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
  • Familiarity with diagnostic tools and software (e.g., Cummins Insite)
  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s License (Class 1 or 3 an asset)
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Must be reliable, punctual, and safety-focused

Nice to have:

  • Commercial Vehicle Inspector (CVIP) Certification
  • Valid Class 1 or 3 Driver’s License
