Job Description:

As a Healthcare Support Tech, you will contribute to safety and provide essential hospital support while completing CNA coursework. Daily, you will assist with PPE, distribute/restock medical supplies, field calls, communicate with visitors, and relay information. You will actively participate in education to pass the CNA state exam, leading to a transition to a CNA role. Success in this role requires a strong commitment to safety and teamwork, excellent communication, proactive operational support, and dedication to CNA certification.

Job Responsibility:

  • Screen employees, patients, and guests before gaining admittance to our facilities
  • Contribute to a culture of safety by providing assistance to coworkers in use of personal protective equipment
  • Distribute medical supplies and equipment to patient care areas
  • Restock supplies and rotate inventory
  • Under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse, participate in providing a safe and therapeutic environment for the patient who is confused, impulsive, unable to perform teach back, unable to understand, or at risk for self-harm or injury
  • Document per policy in the healthcare record
  • Facilitate effective communication by fielding incoming calls, accepting and communicating with visitors, and relaying pertinent information to appropriate staff
