If you're an ambitious professional in the healthcare industry with a track record in excellence across either clinical or surgical procurement, then this could be a very interesting next step for you. This is a brand-new Senior Procurement Manager role, created to play a key role in the organisation's sourcing and procurement efforts for some of their most high-profile public and private hospitals and healthcare centres! You will be managing key-spend categories across clinical, pharmaceutical and surgical procurement; with a focus on creating value and delivering quality rather than just cost-cutting.

Job Responsibility

  • Strategic Sourcing: Overseeing complex sourcing initiatives, collaborating with clinical teams and services teams, and ensuring the best value for the company's patients and stakeholders
  • Supplier Relations: Cultivating and maintaining relationships with healthcare suppliers nationwide, offering the potential for nationwide travel and collaboration
  • Innovation: Identifying and implementing innovative procurement solutions to enhance sourcing processes and elevate services
  • Team Leadership: Managing a team of high-performing procurement specialists, helping them develop their procurement skills and deliver best value for the business

Requirements

  • Extensive Clinical / Surgical Sourcing Experience in the Healthcare Sector: Proven experience in clinical sourcing /direct procurement, ideally within either public or private healthcare institutions or pharmaceuticals
  • Innovative Mindset: A passion for innovation and the ability to identify and implement cutting-edge sourcing practices
  • People Management: Line management experience is a MUST for this role
  • Educational Background: A relevant degree and industry-specific certifications (CIPS / MCIPS) are desirable
  • Eligibility to Work in the UK: Candidates must have the right to work in the UK without sponsorship requirements
