Job Description

Scott Edwards Architecture is seeking a Healthcare Interior Designer or Interior Architect to join our Health and Wellness studio. The Health and Wellness studio designs the full spectrum of outpatient and inpatient environments. Projects range widely in both scale and type and include both new construction and tenant improvements. For this role we are seeking a self-directed, collaborative, client-focused candidate to design, document, and administer highly functional, durable, and inspirational spaces. Requirements

  • Interior Design, Interior Architecture or Architectural degree from an accredited school
  • 10+ years professional experience in design and construction document production with healthcare projects
  • High proficiency in interior detailing required
  • Strong technical and design skills in the production of construction documents with a commitment to high quality design
  • Exposure to projects pursuing state required licensure
  • Familiarity with ADA, OARs, NFPA & FGI for Healthcare
  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with clients and consultants, while being mindful of project budgets and schedules
  • Proficiency in creating quality spaces that meet client design standards
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. Experience with client presentations
  • Proficiency in Revit is required
  • Construction Administration experience including attending regular site meetings, RFI responses, submittal and shop drawing reviews
  • skill in Adobe Creative Suite and SketchUp preferred
  • WELL and/or LEED certification a plus
  • Ability to mentor junior designers in healthcare design a plus
