Job Description

We are seeking a Healthcare Data Entry Specialist to join our high-performing team in a secure, onsite environment. This Healthcare Data Entry Specialist will work within a healthcare-focused data processing operation to support the accuracy and completeness of critical patient and billing information. You will play an essential role in identifying and manually entering data that cannot be captured by OCR software, verifying healthcare records, and supporting high standards of data integrity.

Job Responsibility

  • Perform manual data entry and verification of healthcare-related information
  • Identify and extract data that OCR software cannot process
  • Review and correct OCR-extracted data
  • Audit customer data for accuracy
  • make adjustments where needed
  • Compare data entries with source documents for quality control
  • Maintain high levels of productivity and accuracy
  • Work with team to meet daily workload and production goals
  • Follow HIPAA compliance and internal data security protocols
  • Communicate any program issues to management
  • Contribute to team morale and professional work environment

Requirements

  • Prior Healthcare or Medical data entry experience (billing, EOB, etc.)
  • Must pass 2 assessment tests (typing speed and medical terminology)
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to perform repetitive tasks accurately
  • 45+ WPM typing speed and 10-key experience
  • Comfortable working 100% onsite in a secured facility (no remote option)
  • Ability to interpret written, oral, and diagram instructions
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Self-motivated and team-oriented
  • Understanding of confidentiality and HIPAA compliance
  • Must adhere to strict onsite security policies
