Job Responsibility

  • Monitor vital signs, conduct urine tests, and assist with blood sample collection
  • Support medical examinations and treatment preparations
  • Deliver personal care (washing, dressing, toileting, and mobility assistance)
  • Aid in meal preparation, feeding, and ensuring adequate hydration
  • Maintain clean and safe environments (e.g. tidying rooms, changing bed linen)
  • Collaborate with nurses and other professionals in homes, hospices and hospital wards

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a healthcare support role (preferred)
  • Background in dementia care, residential, or community care settings
  • Confident administering basic first aid and supporting medication protocols
  • Physically fit to perform care tasks (including moving and handling)
  • Warm, empathetic communication style and strong interpersonal skills
  • Familiarity with domiciliary care practices and complex care requirements
  • Formal academic qualifications required
  • NVQ/SVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (desirable)
  • Enhanced DBS check mandatory (will be facilitated)
  • Full training provided for successful candidates
  • A Level or equivalent preferred
  • Fluent spoken and written English
  • Full UK Driving Licence preferred
