Job Description:

As a key member of the frontline team, the Health Care Assistant assists in the delivery of individualized patient care under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse. The role assists in the smooth running of the department and the provision of quality patient care.

Job Responsibility:

Receive patients to the clinical area with courtesy
Orient new patients to the clinical area and hospital environment
Check that each patient bay has all the appropriate and required equipment stored correctly
Support patients with hygiene, nutrition, mobilisation needs as required and directed
Keep clinical areas and waiting areas clean and tidy

Requirements:

Leaving Certificate or equivalent
You must have completed all 8 modules of your QQI level 5 in Healthcare
At least 3 years relevant experience
Communication & Interpersonal skills
Ability to work under pressure
Flexible approach to work
