Job Description:

Ambience Care is currently recruiting experienced and compassionate Healthcare Assistants to support care homes across the Whitehaven, Cumbria area. This is a flexible agency role, ideal for those seeking regular shifts in a professional and supportive environment. As a Healthcare Assistant, you will be responsible for providing high-quality personal care and support to residents, promoting their dignity, independence, and overall wellbeing. Duties include assisting with daily living activities, monitoring health conditions, and working closely with nursing and care teams.

Job Responsibility:

Assist patients with personal care (washing, dressing, toileting)
Help with mobility and moving patients safely
Support with eating and drinking
Take and record vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure)
Provide emotional and psychological support to patients
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in care areas
Assist in preparing patients for treatment
Help with maintaining patient records and documentation

Requirements:

Completion of Care Certificate or willingness to complete it
Basic knowledge of health and safety, infection control, and safeguarding
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Empathy, patience, and a caring attitude
Trustworthy, punctual, and able to work independently
Good attention to detail
Flexibility to work various shifts
Right to work in the UK
Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)
