Job Description:

Join the team at Thornford Park Hospital in Thatcham, Berkshire as a Healthcare Assistant and experience what delivering great healthcare should feel like. As a Healthcare Assistant, you’ll bring empathy, patience, and resilience to a secure Mental Health setting. You’ll work alongside a supportive multidisciplinary team, using your skills to help individuals progress along their recovery journey. As you grow in your role, you’ll have the opportunity to work across multiple wards and services and pursue qualifications in health and social care. The shift pattern is 12.5 hours a day, 2 shifts a week including nights and weekends.

Job Responsibility:

  • Providing compassionate, person-centred care to individuals at every stage of their recovery
  • Supporting ward rounds and observing behaviours to help shape responsive care plans
  • Assisting with everyday tasks, including personal care, to promote dignity and independence
  • Collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary team to deliver holistic, tailored support
