Job Description:

If so, this could be the perfect opportunity for you. Join our dedicated team at The Prince of Wales Hospice, where we provide specialist palliative care in a supportive and respectful environment. Our 14-bed inpatient unit, located just minutes from Junction 32 of the M62 in Pontefract, also offers outpatient and community services, including a successful Lymphoedema clinic.

Job Responsibility:

  • Support patients with personal care and day-to-day activities
  • Work under the supervision of Registered Nurses
  • Assist with clinical tasks appropriate to your level of training
  • Support to patients, their families and your collegues within the clinical environment
  • Help us deliver truly holistic care – meeting medical, emotional, social and spiritual needs

Requirements:

  • Compassionate, reliable, and enthusiastic
  • A good communicator and team player
  • Eager to learn and develop their skills in palliative care
  • NVQ Level 2 in a care related subject (or equivalent such as the Care Certificate and experience in end-of-life care) qualified

Nice to have:

NVQ Level 3 in a care related subject qualified
