Job Description

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Healthcare Assistant to join our team. You will need to demonstrate experience working in healthcare environment dealing with patients. You will be working with a dedicated team of Senior Radiographers/Radiographers, Assistant Practitioners, HCA’s, and administrative staff. We are looking for an enthusiastic Healthcare Assistant to work 40 hours per week. The successful applicant will need experience working in clinical settings or the healthcare environment.

Job Responsibility

Supporting Radiographers during patient scans
Assisting patients and chaperoning when necessary
Making telephone bookings for patients
Assisting in patient preparation
Cannulation
Positioning of patients on the scanner
Clinical stock management
Clinical audits
Processing of patients via E-Systems

Requirements

Experience in a Healthcare environment
Provide administration and customer/patient support including chaperoning patients and assisting the Radiographers throughout the scanning process
Commitment to administration duties related to the patient pathway
Good communication skills both written and verbal
Good IT and administration skills
Ability to understand and comply with radiation protection protocols
Excellent patient care skills
Attention to detail
Being flexible, organized and enthusiastic attitude
Ability to work with a high degree of accuracy and under pressure, meeting deadlines and turn-around times
