Job Description:

The Healthcare Academy Trainer will deliver training in line with company and regional capability plan to support business initiatives, as part of a flexible training team. They lead for developing others who put people first, exciting them to exceptional performance and unleashing the potential of people at all levels to create an unrivalled customer and patient experience.

Job Responsibility:

  • To work with the Learning and Development Manager and People Partners to deliver identified interventions, using in store time to coach leaders on capability development
  • Engage and lead the delivery of training, skills development and knowledge in line with the regional capability plan
  • Contributes to the delivery of clinical governance and patient safety in all pharmacy and healthcare training interventions providing feedback to the Clinical Governance Pharmacist, Area Manager and Store Leader where necessary
  • To provide feedback to Store Leaders and Area Managers on performance, attendance and contribution to training sessions
  • Feedback to Learning & Development Manager on the impact and content of training interventions, to inform future design and plans
  • Work collaboratively with wider capability stakeholders to deliver quality, cost effective interventions
  • Is an authentic, flexible leader who is famous for developing others, inspiring them to want to be part of the future we are creating through strong belief and actions that deliver outstanding results

Requirements:

  • A qualified pharmacist with 3 - 4 years broad grounding in a retailing environment and what makes legendary customer and patient care

  • Provides front line shift leadership for Public Safety Officer 1 & 2 routine and emergency responsibilities. Prioritizes and assigns tasks to accommodate shifting demands and resource pressures. Confirms shift work documentation in the electronic record. Reviews and approves all shift incident reports. Conduct shift briefings to ensure accurate communication and handoff.
  • Prevents, responds to, and investigates workplace violence. Responds to service calls, such as combative or threatening patients or visitors and team member incidents.
  • Serves as a primary resource for de-escalation, utilizing use of force when necessary (e.g. conducted electrical weapon (CEW), handcuffing.)
  • Provides a secure and safe work environment by monitoring officer compliance with policies, procedures, and processes. Schedules public safety staff, ensures daily work and assignments are appropriately covered, ensures PTO is equitably offered and scheduled, and reviews timecards for accuracy.
  • Makes decisions regarding the dispositions of apprehension/arrest cases. Refers the most complex issues to leadership.
  • Rounds on internal customers and attends their meetings to monitor customer satisfaction and service delivery.
  • Performs key responsibilities to plan, prevent, practice, and respond to emergencies such as lost or abducted infants/children, fire, and active threats.
