Job Description:

Ensure compliance with health and safety standards, participate in audits, respond to incidents, develop prevention plans, and monitor reports. The role also involves coordinating mandatory training plans and ensuring updated risk assessments.

Job Responsibility:

  • Ensure compliance with IKEA Safety & Security Retail Manual and other local legislative rules & guidelines
  • Participate and guarantee in regular internal and external occupational health and safety store audits
  • Monitoring and development of the Work Accident reports
  • Provide quick response to incidents, accidents and emergencies
  • Proactively and visibly engage in loss prevention activities as part of your daily routine
  • Ensure that the mandatory training plan is in place and up to date
  • Development of prevention and action plans of occupational health and safety
  • Monitor the health facilities in the Store and health external provider
  • Ensure updated Risk Assessment

Requirements:

  • Extensive knowledge of relevant Occupational Health Safety Policies, standards, rules, manuals tools
  • Ability to assess risk in potentially hazardous situations and act appropriately
  • Ability to conduct, document and follow up checks & reviews
  • Certification as “Técnico superior de segurança no trabalho” within levels 6 to 8, according to respective academic level
  • Ability to communicate in English
  • Ability to work in a self-directed environment
  • Ability to prioritise and organise own in order to make the most efficient use of time available
  • Good level of facilitation, change management and communication skills
  • Ability to plan effectively, influence others and follow up on changes implemented
  • Ability to handle stressful situations and to react in a calm and influencing manner
  • Good Knowledge of Office Tools (Excel, Power point, Word)
