Job Description

ONNEC is seeking a committed and knowledgeable Health & Safety Manager (Site‑based) to support its site‑based operations in Chonburi. This role will coordinate, advise, and implement Health & Safety requirements to ensure full compliance with Thai legislation and ONNEC’s internal HSEQ standards. The position is site‑based, with regular presence on client sites such as construction environments, data centres, industrial facilities, and offices to perform inspections, audits, and provide hands‑on HSEQ support to local project and management teams.

Job Responsibility

  • Ensure that all Health & Safety policies, procedures, and regulations are followed on site, regularly reviewed, and communicated to all personnel
  • Ensure compliance with Thai occupational health and safety legislation
  • Promote strong safety culture, awareness, and operational controls across all local sites
  • Conduct routine site safety inspections and audits, track non‑conformities, and follow through to closure
  • Support accident and incident investigations, identify root causes, implement corrective actions, and ensure lessons learned are shared
  • Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date H&S documentation, including training records, permits, audits, and regulatory submissions
  • Review and update company H&S policies and safe systems of work to ensure alignment with Thai laws and ONNEC standards
  • Maintain a strong and visible presence on project sites, advising supervisors and management teams on compliance requirements and best practice
  • Support implementation of H&S training programmes, including site induction, toolbox talks, and statutory training
  • Keep up to date with changes in Thai H&S legislation and industry best practices, communicating relevant updates to management
  • Produce concise and accurate H&S reports for senior leadership
  • Attend internal and client meetings to provide updates on safety performance and compliance matters
  • Liaise with external stakeholders such as insurers, regulatory authorities, and training providers when required
  • Perform any additional duties reasonably requested by management

Requirements

  • Professional, confidential, and able to develop strong relationships across site teams
  • Excellent planning, organisation, and time‑management skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Self‑motivated with the ability to work independently on a busy site‑based schedule
  • Solid knowledge of health, safety, environmental, and quality practices, with the ability to clearly communicate legislative requirements
  • Relevant Health & Safety qualifications and Thai‑recognised safety officer certifications are desirable
  • Experience conducting audits and producing accurate reports
  • Confident delivering H&S presentations, briefings, and toolbox talks
  • Ability to audit in accordance with Thai safety laws, internal company procedures, and industry standards
  • Comfortable working in construction, data centre, and technical services environments
  • Experience in multinational or regional operations is advantageous
