Job Description

As Health, Safety & Maintenance Manager, you will oversee maintenance operations, safety compliance, and technical projects across the Netherlands & Belgium. You will work closely with Hotel Managers, technical teams, and external partners. You will primarily work from our hotels and head office, with occasional remote work.

Job Responsibility

  • Manage maintenance contracts
  • Plan and oversee renovations and construction projects
  • Manage relationships with contractors and service providers
  • Oversee Capex & Opex (analysis, planning, and recommendations)
  • Request and coordinate quotes for non-routine maintenance work
  • Conduct weekly OTO meetings with Hotel Managers, Maintenance Supervisor, and DOP
  • Create action plans and document ongoing and planned works per property
  • Manage one Maintenance Supervisor (site engineers managed by Hotel Managers)
  • Supervise low-carbon and sustainability projects
  • Develop and implement utility and energy-saving plans
  • Conduct regular hotel inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards and legislation
  • Ensure safe working and living environments for staff and guests
  • Coordinate H&S and fire safety training programs
  • Provide monthly reporting on audits and drive continuous improvement
  • Respond to emergencies and urgent H&S issues
  • Support Hotel Managers in completing action plans and compliance tasks

Requirements

  • Experience in maintenance management and/or Health & Safety (hospitality or real estate preferred)
  • Knowledge of local regulations
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Hands-on, proactive, and able to work independently
  • Willingness to travel
  • BHV Certificate (Emergency Response Officer)
