Job Description

The Safety, Health & Wellbeing Lead –is responsible for overseeing SHW performance across technology activities and vendors. The role ensures effective risk management, contractor compliance, safe site execution, and consistent monitoring through audits, site visits, and performance reporting.

Job Responsibility

  • Oversee SHW requirements for technology activities, projects, and network operations
  • Review and approve H&S plans, risk assessments, and method statements for vendors and contractors
  • Manage SHW performance of contractors, including evaluations, audits, and corrective actions
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to verify compliance and safe working practices
  • Review audit findings and incident reports, ensuring timely closure of actions
  • Report SHW performance outcomes, risks, and trends to stakeholders
  • Ensure safe execution of technology and network activities through effective SHW oversight, risk assessment, and site monitoring
  • Own SHW management of contractors and vendors, including review of H&S plans, audits, performance evaluations, and corrective actions
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to verify compliance with SHW requirements and safe working practices
  • Review audit, incident, and inspection outcomes, ensuring timely reporting and action closure
  • Provide clear SHW performance insights, risks, and recommendations to business and project stakeholders

Requirements

  • Engineering Bachelor’s degree, Occupational Health & Safety, or related field
  • 5+ years’ experience in SHW roles within technology, telecom, construction, or infrastructure environments
  • Strong knowledge of contractor management, risk assessment, and safe systems of work
  • Experience conducting audits, site inspections, and performance evaluations
  • Familiarity with local H&S legislation and international standards (e.g. ISO 45001)
  • Professional certifications (NEBOSH, IOSH) preferred
  • Fluent in English and Arabic
