Job Description:

RCT – Powered by Epiroc is currently seeking a dynamic and experienced HSE Advisor to support the development, implementation and continuous improvement of RCT’s HSE Management system.

Job Responsibility:

  • Support development, implementation and maintenance of RCT’s HSE Management System
  • Promote a proactive safety culture through engagement, education and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Monitor compliance with RCT’s HSE and regulatory requirements
  • Act as a key point of contact for HSE related matters, providing accurate advice and support aligned to policies and relevant legislative guidelines including psychosocial safety
  • Undertake HSE audits and workplace inspections
  • Upskilling employees on HSE matters such as identifying, assessing, and controlling risks (using different tools including JHA, Take 5 and SWMS)
  • Conducting training and awareness with the business on HSE matters
  • Develop and review SMWS and SOP’s in collaboration with Leaders
  • Implement a VOC process
  • Continuously develop the RCT HSE management system Momentum
  • Identifying hazards, conducting incident investigations, and provide corrective action recommendations
  • Maintaining RCT’s risk register and overseeing the implementation of corrective actions, as well as regularly review the effectiveness of controls
  • Implement behaviour-based safety programs aligned with the Epiroc Group
  • Maintain and continuously improve on RCT’s ISO 14001 & 45001 programs

Requirements:

  • Diploma / Degree qualification in Work Health and Safety
  • Minimum 4-year work experience in a similar or related role
  • Cert IV in training and assessment (desirable)
  • Incident investigation qualification such as ICAM (desirable)
  • ISO 14001 & 45001 training and experience
  • An understanding of behaviour based safety systems
  • Excellent knowledge of HSE including understanding of regulatory standards
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal with the ability to engage, build relationships and advise stakeholders across all levels
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail with the ability to work both autonomously and within a team
  • Prepared to travel within Australia
