Job Description

This is a great opportunity for a strong insurance underwriter to support existing products as well as brand new health claims products. This role will focus on working with compliance, product, actuarial, and legal teams to audit current pricing and prepare new pricing for existing and new products. This role will also translate business and risk strategies into clear, usable rating structures and underwriting guidelines and will audit current pricing structures for competitiveness in the marketplace. This role will work within various systems including Word, Excel, and Outlook. Job Responsibility

  • Support existing products as well as brand new health claims products
  • Work with compliance, product, actuarial, and legal teams to audit current pricing and prepare new pricing for existing and new products
  • Translate business and risk strategies into clear, usable rating structures and underwriting guidelines
  • Audit current pricing structures for competitiveness in the marketplace
  • Work within various systems including Word, Excel, and Outlook

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Insurance, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Business, or a related field desire
  • Must have 3+ years in an insurance underwriting role
  • Must have experience in the health insurance/product industry
  • Must have experience with rate manuals, product pricing, rating rules, and pricing frameworks
  • Must have experience conducting audits of current pricing of existing products and work on pricing of new products
  • Must have strong math skills to work with the numbers coming from the actuarial teams
  • Experience working with teams including compliance, legal, actuarial
  • Must have experience with Excel and the MS Office suite
  • Must have strong attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Must have strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Must have strong communication skills both written and verbal
  • Must be able to work collaboratively with team members and other departments
  • Must have the ability and willingness to learn new things
  • Must have the ability to work individually and in a team environment
