Job Description

Ballard Spahr LLP seeks to hire a Junior Health Care Associate in New York or Philadelphia with 2-4 years of legal experience. Successful candidates will have experience representing health care payors and/or providers, and will have knowledge of the federal and state health care legal framework, including Medicare, Medicaid, Medicare Advantage, the Affordable Care Act, False Claims Act, Stark Law, the Anti-Kickback Statute, HIPAA, and the corporate practice of medicine doctrine. Outstanding academic credentials and excellent oral and written communication skills are required. An active bar license in the location for which you wish to be considered is required. The group represents hospitals, health systems, academic medical centers, long-term care facilities, insurance companies, and specialty providers and counsels on regulatory, compliance, transactional, financing, real estate, intellectual property, benefits and compensation, and labor and employment matters. The salary range for this position is from $220,000-$255,000, which reflects the Firm’s good faith and reasonable estimate of possible compensation at the time of posting. Actual pay will depend on several factors such as the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and location. In addition to the salary for this position, lawyers may be eligible for an incentive bonus program and/or a profit-sharing bonus program.
