Requirements

Hold or be working towards NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent
ability to assist medical personnel in care, treatment, preventative care, screening, and patient education
skills in phlebotomy, BP monitoring, height and weight monitoring, ECGs, urinalysis, new patient checks in general practice, assisting rehabilitation activities
understanding normal parameters and when to refer to GPs/Nursing team
ability to work under indirect or direct supervision
ensure specimens are labeled and paperwork completed
participate in administrative and professional responsibilities
maintain accurate and legible notes in patient records.

Job Responsibility

Assist medical personnel in care of practice patients
offer a range of care including phlebotomy, BP monitoring, ECGs, urinalysis, and new patient checks
assist patients in rehabilitation activities
refer to GPs/Nursing team as needed
label and bag specimens with required paperwork
participate in practice administrative responsibilities
maintain legible and accurate notes for consultations and treatments.
