Job Description:

You will be a dynamic, driven individual who is committed to supporting residents in the Guildford and Waverley area address their Alcohol use to improve their health and wellbeing. Working closely with primary care services and other key stakeholders you will provide brief interventions, signposting and onward referral, helping to meet individual’s needs.

Job Responsibility:

  • working with the local community, making every contact count through motivational interviewing, providing brief advice and offering harm minimisation on alcohol reduction where required
  • identifying and targeting known key partnerships
  • supporting the Surrey County Council to collate and gather information from a range of sources, partner agencies and residents to evaluate project success

Requirements:

  • experience of working with people who are experiencing alcohol difficulties or who are vulnerable
  • ability to carry a caseload ensuring thorough assessments of need
  • responsibility for planning and delivery of effective treatment interventions for people
  • ability to deliver face to face, group work utilising evidenced based interventions
