The Health & Safety Manager plays an important part in adding value providing tactical support, information and guidance necessary for the operations team to deliver their service in a safe manner.
Job Responsibility:
Provide tactical support, information and guidance necessary for the operations team to deliver their service in a safe manner
Provide EHS guidance and support at all levels of the business
Manage, maintain, and develop H&S procedures and standards, ensuring that UK regulatory and ISO 45001 requirements are met
Advise and support Contract/Project and Site Managers to fulfil their responsibilities for the health, safety, and wellbeing of employees
Ensure that all personnel are aware of their duties and responsibilities and providing advice as needed
Preparing and chairing team, project, and Client-facing meetings when necessary
Engage in regular travel to customers throughout East Anglia, Cambridgeshire, Bedfordshire and Essex
Requirements:
NEBOSH Certificate (or equivalent qualification) is essential for this role
Technician membership of IOSH or similar is required
Knowledge of document management systems, ISO 45001 or similar
Experience in supporting senior management to cultivate a positive health and safety culture
Experience in translating health and safety legislation into practical policies, procedures, processes, and guidance
Producing reports for individual sites, operatives to accident ratio, KPIs, PPE suitability, etc.
Excellent communication, influencing and leadership skills
Excellent organisational and planning skills
Relevant experience of developing and implementing H&S policies and procedures
