Job Description:

Health & Safety Manager – Construction (Part-Time / Flexible). Our client is a rapidly expanding, £10m multi-disciplinary construction business with sites across the North West and Yorkshire. As they continue to grow, they’re confident that a highly capable H&S Manager can deliver impact on a part-time basis — and they’re committed to making the role work around you.

Job Responsibility:

  • Leading the development and delivery of the company’s Health & Safety strategy across all sites
  • Acting as the day-to-day expert for all H&S matters
  • Maintaining and improving HSEQ management systems
  • Providing guidance, coaching and support to operational teams
  • Driving continuous improvement across multiple locations
  • Overseeing insurance claims and managing third-party relationships
  • Developing policies, standards and training to embed best practice
  • Ensuring compliance with ISO, COSHH, LOLER and other regulatory requirements

Requirements:

  • Passionate about influencing people and encouraging positive safety behaviours
  • Confident engaging teams at all levels
  • Highly organised with great attention to detail
  • Able to manage competing priorities across several sites
  • Someone who enjoys autonomy and wants to shape HSEQ across a growing business
  • NEBOSH qualification is desirable but not essential if you have strong practical experience
