Job Description:

A company on the South Shore of Montreal, specializing in building construction, is looking for a Corporate Occupational Health and Safety Advisor. This family-owned business has been operating in the field for over 60 years. Job Responsibility:

  • Design and spearhead impactful prevention strategies, tailored to the unique realities of each plant
  • Ensure impeccable regulatory compliance and orchestrate the deployment of OHS policies, in perfect alignment with CNESST requirements, WHMIS, and industry standards
  • Conduct proactive OHS audits and diagnostics to identify risks, recommend effective corrective solutions, and ensure rigorous follow-up
  • Act as a strategic partner to plant managers, equipping them for optimal incident management, sharp root cause analysis, and the implementation of sustainable solutions
  • Develop and implement key performance indicators to quantify the impact of actions undertaken and drive a dynamic of continuous improvement
  • Lead engaging training and awareness programs aimed at significantly boosting team skills and reinforcing their commitment to a health and safety culture
  • Embody a high-value field presence, fostering constructive exchanges with workers and coaching managers towards excellence in best practices
  • Position yourself as the go-to technical and strategic expert in health and safety, for both management and all production sites

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, Environment, or any other related discipline
  • A minimum of 7 to 10 years of experience in health and safety within an industrial environment
  • Excellent command of OHS laws, standards, and regulations
  • Bilingualism in English and French because you will need to interact with French-speaking colleagues
