We are looking for a detail-oriented Health and Safety Coordinator to join our team on a contract basis in New York, New York. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring workplace safety and compliance with OSHA standards, conducting audits, and implementing best practices for occupational safety. Job Responsibility:
Conduct regular safety audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations
Develop and implement safety policies that align with OSHA standards and organizational goals
Monitor workplace conditions and recommend improvements to enhance safety
Provide training sessions to employees on occupational safety procedures and practices
Investigate incidents and accidents to determine root causes and implement corrective actions
Collaborate with management to ensure adherence to workplace safety protocols
Evaluate and update safety procedures to address emerging risks and challenges
Maintain accurate records of safety audits, inspections, and incident reports
Serve as the primary point of contact for all health and safety-related matters
Requirements:
Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety standards
Proven experience conducting safety audits and implementing corrective measures
Familiarity with occupational safety principles and practices
Ability to develop and deliver effective safety training programs
Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Proficiency in maintaining accurate documentation and records
Previous experience in a health and safety role preferred
