Job Description:

At Euro Pool System (EPS), we’re proud of our reusable folding crates that keep the supply chain moving in a sustainable way. But behind the crates, there’s a young and dedicated SHEQ team making sure everything runs safely, sustainably, and with top-notch quality. We’re not the “SHEQ police” —we’re problem-solvers and change-drivers. We collaborate closely with colleagues across Europe, helping them work smarter, safer, and more sustainably. Together, we make sure that our products and operations meet the highest standards while caring for the people behind them and the planet we all share.

Job Responsibility:

  • Drive the harmonization of SHEQ standards across European sites
  • Strengthen safety culture through risk assessments, incident investigations, and consistent practices
  • Oversee environmental management, compliance, and sustainability projects
  • Lead audits and continuous improvement of SHEQ systems
  • Spearhead the transition to new software—configuring, implementing, and training users
  • Create digital dashboards and harmonizing documentation and workflows
  • Work closely with regional teams, share best practices, and support European initiatives that advance SHEQ and sustainability

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Safety Science (e.g. Hogere Veiligheidskunde) or a Master’s degree in Environmental and Occupational Health and Safety (Belgium)
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a comparable SHEQ or HSE role
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards (ISO 9001 is a plus)
  • Experience with environmental management, risk analysis, and incident prevention
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong command of English (Dutch is an advantage)
  • Analytical, proactive, and able to navigate a dynamic international (European) environment
  • Digital mindset
  • Willingness to travel within Europe (up to 15%)
What we offer:
  • A competitive salary
  • Good pension scheme
  • The option for a 32-hour workweek
  • 25 vacation days per year (based on fulltime employment)
  • Working on circular solutions within an enthusiastic and ambitious team
  • The freedom to bring your ideas to life and influence how we work across Europe
  • To be part of a team dedicated to promoting sustainability and circularity
