TOWN OF MILTON JOB POSTING POSITION: Health Agent GRADE: 7, $2,534.45 – $3,280.05 DEPARTMENT: Health DATE: March 30 RESPONSIBILITIES: Enforces local and state public health laws and regulations through inspections, investigations, and compliance activities. Conducts routine and complaint-based inspections of food establishments, housing, tobacco, pool, septic, animal and other regulated facilities. Investigates public health concerns and complaints and takes appropriate action to protect community health. Collaborates with establishment owners, residents, property owners, businesses, and stakeholders on health and safety requirements. Maintains accurate records and prepares reports in accordance with local and state regulations. REQUIREMENTS: Minimum of bachelor’s degree in public or environmental health or a related field; three years of experience in public health or environmental health; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Special Requirements Valid Massachusetts motor vehicle operator’s license Certified Food Protection Manager (or must be able to obtain within 2 months of working) Certified Pool Operator (or must be able to obtain within 2 months of working) Certified in Allergen Awareness (or must be able to obtain within 2 months of working) Lead Determinator license (or obtain within year) Soil Evaluator license (or obtain within one year) Certified in Basic Incident Command Preferred Requirements: Registered Sanitarian license RESPOND TO: Carla Fede, HR Director, 525 Canton Avenue, Milton, MA 02186 by email at cfede@townofmilton.org.
