Job Description:

The core purpose of the Headteacher is to provide effective leadership and management for The Highfield School (HFD). The Headteacher will manage teaching and learning, promote excellence, provide strategic leadership, evaluate school performance, deploy resources, develop community relationships, create a safe learning environment, and work with trust leadership.

Job Responsibility:

  • Effectively manage teaching and learning to secure outstanding provision
  • Promote excellence, equality and high expectations for all pupils
  • Provide vision, leadership and direction
  • Evaluate school's performance and identify priorities for continuous improvement
  • Deploy resources effectively to support excellent outcomes
  • Develop positive relationships with wider community
  • Create a safe and productive learning environment
  • Work effectively with CEO, Trust Executive Team, Senior Leadership Team, Trustees and Local Governing Body

Requirements:

  • Doctorate or equivalent professional qualifications
  • Evidence of ability to lead a school effectively
  • Experience of senior leadership within a school setting
  • Successful track record of improving pupil outcomes
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection
  • Enhanced DBS check required
