Head Waiter

• Creating an exceptional dining experience for members and their guests
• Being fully conversant with every dish served in our members club and providing explanations as requested
• Assisting with mise en place through distribution of tasks and to ensure the monitoring and completion of tasks are done properly and in time allocated
• Taking responsibility for service in the area of the restaurant under your responsibility during your shift
• Assisting the management team and their assistants in the preparation and presentation of training programmes, briefings and SOP’s
• Being competent in advising guests with food allergies or dietaries by liaising with the kitchen and bar teams and ensuring the order is processed correctly, ensuring this is communicated to all relevant staff and departments and member profile is updated with the relevant information
• Supporting, training, and developing any new colleagues and making them feel welcome
• Up-selling additional products as and when appropriate in a subtle and conversational manner
• Taking accurate food and drinks orders, using our till system, ordering slips or by memorisation as appropriate
• Checking dishes and dining utensils for cleanliness and presentation and reporting any problems to the culinary and management teams
• Presenting the bill and processing payments in line with our standards and SOP’s
• Arranging table settings and maintaining a tidy dining area

• Proven experience in a luxury/lifestyle multi-outlet food and beverage operation
• Must be able to work flexibly including evenings and weekends due to the operational hours of the club
• Excellent communication skills and comfortable talking to colleagues, senior management, and being front of house building relationships with our members
• A genuine passion for hospitality and hosting
