To continue our amazing mission, we are seeking an ambitious and results-driven Head/VP of User Acquisition/Marketing (Freelance) to join our UA/Monetizing team. As Head of UA, you will be instrumental in driving our user acquisition strategies and playing a central role in the development and growth of our existing User Acquisition team of 8 talents. As part of a dynamic and collaborative team, you’ll have the chance to contribute to the company strategy and growth in the long term, reporting to our CMO (Vincent) and working closely with our CEO, CFO, Head of Creative and Tech leadership team.

Job Responsibility:

  • Stay Ahead of Industry Trends: Monitor the latest gaming UA, Growth & Creative industry advancements, technologies, and trends to keep our strategies innovative and relevant, ensuring we maintain a competitive edge. In this objective, create and cultivate solid relations with other top gaming publishers and C-level executives as well as POCs of all our main UA channels. Participate in industry events as panel speaker and representative of TapNation
  • Leadership & Team Development: Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of UA specialists, fostering a culture of collaboration, creativity, and continuous improvement. Defining KPIs, games strategy and long-term targets for each team member and our games portfolio
  • Data-Driven Optimization: Regularly review performance metrics across all UA campaigns and channels of each UA manager, make informed decisions and real-time adjustments to enhance campaigns effectiveness and player acquisition while educating the team
  • Strategic UA Planning & Execution: Design and implement robust user acquisition strategies for each game’s vertical, that are aligned with business objectives, focusing on driving growth, player retention, gross margin and engagement
  • Product & tools development: Improve our automation strategy and capabilities by working on product feedback and sharing features enhancements for our several automation, prediction and forecasting tools
  • Embrace Innovation: Explore and implement emerging technologies, channels, and methods to stay at the forefront of UA practices, continually improving acquisition efforts and campaign performance
  • Collaborative Partnerships: Work in close coordination with Product, Creative, and App Store Optimization (ASO) teams to ensure user acquisition strategies align with broader project goals and result in successful campaigns. Improve cross-teams communication and processes
  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Challenge and contribute to the development and improvement of our Internal BI, Data Analysis and Reporting dashboards to improve Strategic visions, reporting and help with Management decisions
  • M&A audits and Due diligence: Participate with the leadership team in our inorganic growth acquisition strategy across publishing, but also games & studios M&A strategy
  • Grow the team: run quarterly reviews with each UA team member, help them grow in their role, and hire new collaborators to help uplift the team skills and knowledge in the Casual & hybrid-casual areas

Requirements:

  • Extensive UA Experience in Gaming: Significant experience in a senior user acquisition role within the gaming sector, with a proven track record of driving successful campaigns
  • Strong Leadership Abilities: Demonstrated experience in managing and leading high-performing teams, with a focus on developing talent and fostering a positive, productive work environment
  • Deep Knowledge of Gaming Markets: In-depth understanding of gaming industry dynamics, including key trends, player behaviors, and market shifts, allowing for strategic decision-making
  • Creative knowledge: Strong understanding, knowledge and creative mind to master the UA creative trends and best practices in the market (Playables, CPP, UGC, Social etc.)
  • Proficient in Budget Management: Expertise in handling large-scale budgets, with the ability to allocate resources strategically and maximize overall returns
  • Technical, Analytical & Data-Driven: A keen ability to interpret data and analytics, applying insights to optimise user acquisition strategies and performance outcomes. Be able to work with our Data science team on long term projections and break even up to 12 to 18 months
  • Strong technical knowledge: of different UA channels types (rewarded, retargeting, social, video, OEM etc.) as well as attribution, MMPs, SKAN iOS conversion schema etc.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, able to work effectively across teams and present ideas clearly and persuasively
  • Adaptability in Fast-Paced Environments: Comfortable working in a rapidly evolving industry, able to adapt quickly to new challenges and changes while driving results
